Where Can I Buy…..

I usually purchase my supplements online. No more running from store to store reading labels on jars, dealing with inefficient sales staff and driving across town through heavy traffic. I love the convenience of online shopping, I can do it in my pyjamas in the middle of the night and the products are delivered right to my doorstep. Best of all, I can get exactly the product I want without compromising on quality and purity.

Purchasing supplements are getting easier and easier nowadays. We have a choice of online retailers who deliver directly to Malaysia. Apart from supplements, some retailers also carry homeopathic remedies, personal care products and food items. Based on the KL Biomed parents’ feedback, please check out our favourite retailers below;

Spectrum Supplements

iHerb.com

Green and Healthy

All you need is a credit card and internet connection and you’re ready to shop from the comfort of your home.

For those who do not have a credit card or not able to purchase online, you can also contact Back2Basics in Singapore. They can deliver to your country and you can bank in the money into their account.

Which one to choose?

Each online retailer carries a different range of brands and products. Their prices may vary too so don’t forget to compare prices. When purchasing online, do take note of each retailer’s delivery method and cost. You can also buy supplements directly from your biomedical doctors.

Based on the feedback I hear, most parents are happy with the service and quality of the retailers listed here and there hasn’t been much problems with Customs if any.The products arrive in good condition and arrive on time. Hassle-free shopping at it’s best.

Some parents are also kind enough to sell their own precious supply to another parent in need. So don’t forget to ask on the KL Biomed Health Forum if anyone is willing to sell off their extra stock. Some are also kind enough to help you out by adding on your order to their own online purchase. For those who choose this option, it is a courtesy to pre-pay the parent or at least make sure you pick up the goods and pay them promptly.

If you are unsure as to which brand or type of supplement to buy, don’t hesitate to ask one of the friendly parents on the KL Biomed Health Forum. Many of us have experience with online purchasing and are happy to share their feedback. With all the convenience and benefit of online shopping, we still need to exercise caution. Do shop with reputable retailers, beware of online fraud, and keep an eye on your credit card limit! The temptation to overbuy especially when online shopping is just too strong, so do exercise caution.

Shop wisely my friends, beware of the Shopaholic Syndrome!

  1. Hi,
I came across your blog when I was searching for Efalex. You mentioned that you buy supplements online. Just want to check with you, if you buy online and deliver from overseas, have you ever encountered any problems from the customs?
Please advise me. I am trying to send some kid supplements to my cousin in Malaysia.
    Thanks

    • Hi Evee, I’ve never had any trouble with customs. Though a few parents have, perhaps because they purchased too many supplements in one shipment. However, in these cases you may be charged a nominal fee or small amount of tax, nothing major. So far, I’ve never heard of a shipment being confiscated. How nice to have such a helpful cousin like you, we need all the support we can get:-) Btw, Efalex is easily available in Malaysia.

  2. Hi Marissa

Just wonder which toothpaste do your girls use? I am looking for a gluten free toothpaste but not sure which one to buy.

    Regards
