Dear KL Biomed family and friends,

We have grown tremendously in the past 4.5 years since we started the KL Biomed Health Forum in early 2009. For those of you who didn’t know how we started, together with my very good friend and fellow warrior mum Rafidah, we started as a very small, informal support group comprised of dedicated, resourceful parents sitting on my living room floor discussing alternative treatments for our children with autism.

Since then, KL Biomed has grown into a support network to include nearly 600 families in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and neighbouring countries in Asia and the Middle East. Our children range from autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, ADD, GDD, OCD, apraxia, sensory processing disorder, speech delay, other developmental and behavioral disorders and other health issues. Our members range from newbies to senior parents, of all races, religion and creed. We discuss and share advice on special diets, biomedical interventions, vitamins, viruses, bacteria, fungal and parasites. We share information about homeopathy, crania-sacral therapy, osteopathy, essential oils, detox therapies, HBOT, various alternative treatments and many more. We offer support when a parent is dealing with behaviors, regressions or just having a tough week, with compassion, without judgement. Close friendships have been formed, providing more support and resources for our families.

Our KL Biomed Health Forum on Yahoo Groups has had over 12,000 posts and has been a great source of sharing information, resources and support for many families living with autism and related disorders. To the KL Biomed members, I thank you for your generosity in sharing your experiences with other parents. Your support and advice has helped countless families, of whom I hear from daily, who tell me how much KL Biomed has helped them. I am proud to have contributed to something as wonderful as this.

We are now moving on to a more interactive mode of sharing information, communication and support in the hopes that it will be more accessible and user friendly. The KL Biomed Health Forum on Yahoo is now no longer active, we have finally entered the 21st century and joined Facebook. Thus, going forward, please post all your questions and sharing to our new Facebook Group, KL Biomed: Natural Healing.

About KL Biomed: Natural Healing on Facebook

KL Biomed: Natural Healing  is focused on the support and sharing of knowledge for natural and complementary treatments for families living with Autism, ADHD and related disorders in Malaysia, Singapore and neighbouring countries.

This is a group for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related disorders who are doing biomedical intervention, special diets, complementary and alternative treatments in Malaysia and neighbouring countries. KL Biomed provides support and advice for biomedical and alternative treatments on a volunteer basis.
